Research Interest
The Lazenby laboratory focuses on electroanalytical techniques and scanned probe electrochemical microscopy, for analytical applications in imaging, chemical sensing, health and materials characterization. We develop new electrochemical biosensor probes at the micro- and nanoscales, as well as the methods to implement these sensors into scanned probe microscopy techniques such as scanning electrochemical microscopy and scanning ion conductance microscopy. The high spatial resolution that nanoscale probes provide for these imaging techniques, can be applied to selective mapping of chemical fluxes and concentrations at biological and non-biological samples.
