CHEMATHON 2015 Florida State University
Every Spring, the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, as part of a state-wide outreach program initiated by the Florida section of the American Chemical Society (ACS), hosts “CHEMATHON”, a scholastic competition for high school students in the Big Bend and Pan Handle Areas. Invitations are open to all public and private certified high schools in these counties. THIS YEAR’S EVENT WILL BE ON THURSDAY MARCH 12TH, 2015.
Chemathon is a team competition for students who have had, or will soon be completing, at least one year of high school chemistry.
Teams consist of 4 students and each high school is allowed to bring up to 6 teams (Up to 3 teams of AP/IB Division or General Division) to the competition (Up to 6 teams per school).
Competitions consist of a team laboratory activity and an individual written chemistry examination.
. There will be team awards for the laboratory activity and individual awards for the written examination.

Registration is $5 per student and the REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 27TH, 2015. Please fill out the registration form

Directions to Chemathon Campus Location: Turn onto Woodward Avenue from West Tennessee (US 90). Parking is available in the open lot on the left or the parking garage on the Right. Check- In Table will be set up between the Hoffman Laboratory and Fisher Lecture Hall Buildings.
