Beauty K. Chabuka

Research Focus: Computation - Electron and hole upconversion. Beauty received her combined B.Sc/M.Sc degree in chemistry from Idaho State University. Her research involves the use of computational methods to explore organic reactions.

Michael Commodore

Michael Commodore

Research Focus: Study of the properties of organic magnetic materials. Michael graduated with a B.Sc in chemistry from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. In 2021, he joined Professor Igor V. Alabugin's laboratory at Florida State University to pursue a Ph.D. His research focuses on the design, synthesis, and study of the properties of organic magnetic materials (functionalized carbon-rich materials).

Favour Danladi Makurvet

Favour Danladi Makurvet

Research Focus: Synthesis of porous graphene. Favour graduated with a B.Sc in chemistry from Kaduna State University, Nigeria, in 2016. He completed a Master's program in Green and Sustainable Chemistry at the University of Nottingham, England, in 2020. In 2021, he joined Professor Alabugin's laboratory at Florida State University, where he works on the design, development, and application of synthetic strategies to access chemical precursors for the bottom-up synthesis of porous graphene

Kimberley Christopher

Kimberley Christopher

Research Focus: Computation - applications. Kimberley completed her B.Sc. in Chemistry and Biology from Lakehead University in 2020. Her undergraduate research involved using bioinformatics to investigate genetic linkage and protein-protein interactions as well as synthesizing ligands for diagnostic imaging. Currently, she uses computational methods to address fundamental problems in physical organic chemistry with applications in medicinal, material, and energy sciences.

Fabiola Rivera

Fabiola Rivera

Research Focus: Synthesis of porous graphene. Fabiola earned her B.Sc in chemistry from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in 2023. She joined Dr. Alabugin's laboratory at Florida State University in 2024 to pursue a PhD in chemistry. Currently, she is working on the synthesis of chemical precursors for the bottom-up synthesis of porous graphene.

Isaac Akhigbe

Isaac Akhigbe

Research Focus: Study of the properties of nitrogen-doped conjugated organic molecules. Isaac graduated with a B.Sc chemistry (2015) from Ambrose Alli University and completed a Master's program in chemistry (2020) at the University of Benin, Nigeria. In 2024, he joined Professor Igor V. Alabugin's laboratory at Florida State University to pursue a Ph.D. His research focuses on the design, synthesis, and study of the properties of electronically interesting organic materials.
